Admission into the college normally takes place in the month of early June. Admission
is given on the basis of merit list prepared just before admission.Hostel admissions
also go on simultaneously. |

Eligibilty: |
|
|
A candidate who has passed the H.S.L.C Examination of the Board of Secondary Education,
Assam(SEBA) or any equivalent examination recognized by Assam Higher Secondary Education
Council(AHSEC) is eligible for admission.
Those students who have passed from Boards/Councils other than SEBA shall have to
produce Migration Certificates in original at the time of admission. However,if
such a student fails to produce the Migration Certificate at the time of admission
he/she may be admitted provisionally subject to the condition that he/she shall
submit the same within one month of admission. |

Procedure:
|
|
|
1) Only those candidates who apply in the prescribed application form will be considered
for admission.Incomplete applications will not be considered.
2)Admission will be on merit basis.
3)The admission committee will scrutinize the application forms, verify the documents
and prepare the selected list of candidates for admission. The admission shall consist
of "Qualified list of students (Arts/Commerce/science)". This list includes the
names of applicants qualified for admission into college on the specified date only.
The list also consists of "wait-listed students (Arts/Commerce/Science)". This list
includes the names of applicants who have not qualified for admission on the specified
date, but may be admitted at a late date (as specified) based on availability of
seats. The wait-listed (science) applicants are eligible for admission on the first
day of admission in case they intend to go for the integrated coaching classes.
The selected candidates
shall have to take admission on the notified date of admission
only.
4)The candidates shall produce the following documents in original for verification
on the date of admission:-
i)Mark sheet of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination and H.S.L.C. Admit Card.
ii)Pass Certificate and Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution
last attended.
iii)Gap period Certificate from a Gazetted Officer/Teacher of recognized
Educational Institution in case of discontinuity of study, and
iv)Two passport size recent photographs.
v)Fees once paid shall not be refunded. Also, no change of stream will be
encouraged.
The candidates shall have to submit two attested sets of the above mentioned documents
along with admission form. |
