Education at the H.S level is the utmost importance since it turns out as the key
to the future of batches after bathces of teenage students on the eager look for
a place in life.Changes in the economic policies and management practices together
with new layers of technlogical advances all over the world have brought about corresponding
changes in the scope and meaning of education.With these changes,releavance of education
has become wider enough to touch new contours,& new horizons of life.but the
present state of H.S level education in this part of the state is not healthy and
robust enough to bear the load of the emerging promises and expectations and the
new compelling demands. |

The R.D Junior College established in 2004 by a Trust,the R.D Educational &
Sports Foundation,in the Lachit Nagar area of the historic oil town of Digboi is
an attempt to instil new vitality and new spirit into the present anaemic body of
H.S level education.At first Arts and Commerce streams were introduced in 2004 and
2005 respectively.Later Science stream was introduced in the year 2011. |
